Amai Rodríguez Coladas was born in Poio, Pontevedra (Spain) on the 12 of December in 1985. In 2003, after finishing High School, she started a career on Fine Arts attached to Vigo´s University (Spain).

In 2005, and doing at the same time the second course of that career, she started studies of fashion design in ESDEMGA (Galicia). In the last year and for 3 months, she made business practices in one of the most famous theatres in Madrid called “The Abbey”. During this period, she designed costumes and scenography about a subject taught by Soledad P. Garre Rubio at the Royal School of Drama in Madrid (RESAD).

In November 2007, Amai finished her career with a special mention from the jury given by the Spanish fabric’s company called “Rafael Matías”. On the 31 of January 2008, she made her debut with the same collection in the catwalk called “El Ego de Cibeles” placed in Madrid´s heart. And later she travelled with it to Trieste (Italy), for a contest called ITS FASHION 7, and to Modorrra´s Spanish catwalk in Bilbao.

Moreover, and during that period of time, from April to October, she worked as a fashion designer in Zara Woman in A Coruña (Spain). 

Then, in September of 2009 she showed her second collection in “El Ego de Cibeles”, where she won the L´Oréal Paris Prize.

In May of 2010 she participated in the catwalk called "Galicia Moda" during Galicia Fashion Week (GFW).

Finally, in the months of June and July of the same year, Amai showed part of her  two collections in an alternative fashion & design festival, known as Fashion Freak, in the two editions placed in Madrid and then in Barcelona.

Nowadays, Amai Rodríguez is living in London, after being in an internship for a month in the famous fashion brand of the iraqi designer Reem Alasadi, a new world of opportunities and inspiration is waiting for her in this new country.

• Collective accesorie's exhibition in Casal de Ferreirós, Poio, Pontevedra.
